How payment works
Accepting a lead is free and takes one click. When you complete an installation for a homeowner we introduced, mark the job Installed in your dashboard. At the end of each month we send one invoice for the jobs you installed that month, at £500 each. If you install nothing, you pay nothing.

What does “qualified lead” actually mean?
A person who submitted the quote form with: format-valid UK phone number, format-valid email, valid UK postcode, current heating system type, timeline, and region. We do NOT verify property ownership or confirm the person is who they say they are. If a lead looks like a duplicate, test submission, or has invalid contact info, report it within 7 days and it comes off your record.
When does billing start?
There is no lead fee, so accepting leads never costs anything. Billing starts only when a job from a PumpSwap lead is installed: £500 per completed installation, invoiced monthly for the jobs installed that month. No subscription, no retainer.
What counts as a completed installation?
A heat pump installation you carry out for a homeowner whose details you received through PumpSwap, completed within 12 months of you accepting the lead. You mark the job Installed in your dashboard when it is done, and it goes on that month’s invoice.
What if a lead is low quality?
Report it within 7 days and it comes off your record. You paid nothing for the lead, so there is nothing to refund. We track dud reports as part of quality monitoring on both sides of the marketplace.
Are leads exclusive?
No. Up to 2 other local installers may receive the same lead (hard cap of 3 installers per lead, enforced in code). First 3 to accept win; others get an auto-decline email. If you want territorial exclusivity, we offer a separate retainer model for manufacturers and national partners.
What areas do you cover?
We publish cost pages for towns across all 12 UK regions. You set your base postcode and how far you travel (up to 150km), and we match you to leads inside that radius. Adjust it anytime from your dashboard.
Can I pause or change my area?
Yes - anytime, from your own dashboard. Update your base postcode and travel radius, see every lead you have received, and pause or resume leads with one click. No phone calls, no waiting on us.
Do I need to be MCS-certified?
You can register without it, but homeowners claiming the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant need an MCS-certified installer to carry out the work, so MCS-certified partners are best placed to win these jobs. Add your MCS number when you sign up if you have one. Any gas work (e.g. decommissioning a boiler) must be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
