About PumpSwap UK

PumpSwap UK is the United Kingdom's independent comparison service for air source heat pumps, EV chargers, solar panels, and home battery storage. We publish indicative installed pricing for towns across all 12 UK regions, give straight answers about the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant and what you actually pay after it, and connect homeowners with local installers for free quotes.

Our Mission

Most UK homes heat with a mains-gas boiler, and gas is getting dearer: the Ofgem price cap gas unit rate rises 27% on 1 July 2026 (5.74p to 7.33p/kWh). At the same time, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme takes £7,500 off an air source heat pump in England and Wales (extended to 2030, with a £9,000 uplift for oil and LPG homes from 21 July 2026), Scotland has its own Home Energy Scotland grant and loan, and installations are 0% VAT until 31 March 2027. Whether your boiler is near end-of-life or you simply want off volatile gas prices, the switch is worth understanding properly.
