Frequently asked questions
How much does a LG Therma V heat pump cost in Wales?
LG Therma V does not publish an installed price and no credible third-party figure exists, so we show none. For scale, the median Boiler Upgrade Scheme install cost £12,908 before the grant (DESNZ Boiler Upgrade Scheme median, April to June 2026). In Wales a £7,500 grant comes off whatever your installer quotes.
Can I get the grant on a LG Therma V heat pump in Wales?
Yes, if your home qualifies: the Boiler Upgrade Scheme is not tied to a brand, as long as the installer is MCS-certified. It comes straight off the quote.
What would a LG Therma V heat pump cost to run in Wales?
Roughly £575 a year for the Therma V R290 Monobloc 12kW to deliver 10,000 kWh of heat at 26.55p per kWh (Ofgem price cap for Southern Wales, 1 October to 31 December 2026). That assumes a 45°C design flow temperature, estimated from its MCS-certified SCOPs of 5.33 at 35°C and 3.86 at 55°C. A lower flow temperature, with bigger radiators or underfloor heating, costs less to run.
Who installs LG Therma V heat pumps in Wales?
MCS-certified installers across Wales fit LG Therma V. Ask for a heat loss survey and compare two or three quotes on the same basis: unit size, cylinder, radiator changes and warranty.
