Frequently asked questions
How much does a Daikin Altherma heat pump cost in Scotland?
£7,000 to £14,000 installed before the grant, or £0 to £6,500 after a £7,500 grant. These are PumpSwap's indicative 2026 prices; your installer's survey sets the real figure.
Can I get the grant on a Daikin Altherma heat pump in Scotland?
Yes, if your home qualifies: the Home Energy Scotland grant is not tied to a brand. Apply and get approval before the work starts.
What would a Daikin Altherma heat pump cost to run in Scotland?
Roughly £650 a year for the Altherma 3 H HT 14kW to deliver 10,000 kWh of heat at 26.11p per kWh (Ofgem price cap for Southern Scotland, 1 October to 31 December 2026). That assumes a 45°C design flow temperature, estimated from its MCS-certified SCOPs of 4.47 at 35°C and 3.54 at 55°C.
